The Circus

Last week we went to the circus! It was almost the whole crew. My mom, dad, sister, brother, and nieces went. It was a ton of fun and Miss A and her cousin Miss M got to ride the ponies and the two older ones road a camel. I have pictures of the two on the camel, but it was so dark they didn't turn out so well. I also got a really neat picture of a guy shooting out of a canon, but that was also dark.*grin* Miss A has asked many times since then if we are going to the circus with "her girl" again so she must have had a pretty good time.

Praying for Stellan

I've been following sweet Stellan's mama's blog since the middle of her pregnancy with him. He is now almost 5 months old. It is truly a miracle that he's been here on earth for 5 months. In utero they were told that he would not make it. He had an enlarged heart and had SVT (very fast heart rate). Well he was born and the doctors couldn't find anything wrong with him. It was amazing. Well now he went in to the ER a few nights ago because he was sick and having a little bit of trouble breathing. His mama wasn't to alarmed by this, but just wanted to put her mind at ease. They did one neb treatment and that seemed to help and then when they were about to discharge him he had a coughing fit so they decided to give him another neb treatment and that ended up putting him back into SVT. They have not been able to get it back to normal. He has also shown some patterns that are similar to V-tach (deadly rhythms) but no he is not actually in V-tach (thank the Lord). So if you feel the need to pray for this sweet boy as thousands of us are feel free. You can also check out Mckmama's blog and hear more about his story and get updates.

Lord please heal this sweet boy.

A New Look and a Scarf

I finally got Miss A's scarf done. I recently took knitting up and I first made a washcloth and then Miss A's scarf. I love this yarn. It is very thick and the colors are great!

I am defiantly ready for spring/summer to come! I have been counting down the days until we can go to the park and all the other great things stay at home moms look forward to. As you can see I am preparing for spring by changing my background to something more springy and basic. Aahh it's refreshing!:) I am also looking forward to spring cleaning. Yay! (I am a nerd)

Miss A in the snow!

Miss A didn't get a lot of play in the snow this winter, but when we got a whole bunch of snow the other day I was excited that she would get to go out in the snow a few more times! We had a blast and tomorrow there is more of it. My sister has decided to go tubing for her birthday and this will be Miss A's first time tubing, so I hope she loves it.

Good News!

So I have some very good news! One of my sisters co-workers has three little boys that I babysat for a couple of weeks ago and last week I got a call from his wife who is a stay at home mom and she asked if I would be willing to come by once a week for five hours and watch the boys so she can run errands or just get stuff done around the house and a bonus was I am able to bring Miss A with me! Of course I said yes. Well today was my first day and it went great! Miss A is having a little bit of trouble sharing her mama, but I'm thinking about doing a reward system for when she does well. So we are very excited to be working with this great family!
----------------------------------------------
On Sunday after church we went to watch boat races. Boat races in the frozen tundra you ask... I know I had the same question! I had no idea anything like this existed. We have a winter carnival in the cities that I've never been to and the boat races were part of it. I wish I would have brought my camera because the visual is so much better then me trying to explain it, but I'll try! So they start on a lake... frozen obviously! The boat is sort of like a canoe with three skates on the bottom two in the back and one in the front. These boats also have a sail on them and the person racing the boat pushes off and then gets in it and they steer it with a rope sort of like the reins on a horse. It was definitely interesting. Fortunately it was about 30 degrees out. The winds made it feel a little colder, but that also made the races a little more interesting. They only lasted 30 minutes which was a pretty decent amount of time to spend outside. It was a new experience and as long as the weather is decent next year I think we'll go again!
