The Adventures of a three year old

So the birthday party was a hit! It seems like a light switch went off when she turned three, which seems so weird to me because with my birthday's I just feel another day older, but with her it seems as though her vocab has just exploded and her maturity seems to have skipped a couple of years.

We started our party with a pizza place that was supposed to open at 10:30 A.M. We got there at 10:45 (an early lunch!) and the doors were still locked and nobody was in there. So we stood there for a while wondering if we should go next door to Subway or look for somewhere else to go and as we were thinking the pizza dude came YAY! Once we got done there it was time to go to the train station for the real adventure. She really enjoyed herself on "Percy" (she named it that because it was green for all you Thomas the tank engine fans)

Oh Boy and then we headed back to Aunt M. house for presents and cake and when she opened up her present from Aunt M. and she saw that beautiful purple dress she was in AHHH. She went home in it and no I did not let her wear it for two days straight and let her also sleep in it two nights straight *grin* I had to cut her off at that point though.

And our last adventure for the birthday girl was to go pick out her fish "Mimi". She is so excited to have a new member of the family. So that's the craziness that's been going on here!

Almost three

I can't believe my little girl is almost three. People always say "wow she is getting so big"and because I'm with her everyday I don't realize it like other people do. This time of year I pull out her newborn pictures and that's when it really hits me how she really is becoming such a person of her own. It is such a weird time for me... I'm proud of who she is becoming as she grows, but know that she will never be my little newborn that she once was. OOFTAH! (as A. would say)

Also I had to show you all A.'s birthday cake that we picked up today. She is very excited which makes me also very excited. As much as I would love to take credit for this awesome Angelina Ballerina cake, props must go to Dairy Queen!

Getting Dressed 101

TADAH!!! Can you see the excitement in her face. Oh boy how they grow so quickly. We had a fun day yesterday with our friends at the thrift store. We found some great treasures! Yesterday I also picked up A.'s birthday present *whisper* a fish tank and accessories (don't tell A.) she will get to pick out the fish. We've decided to do a small party this year just grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins (sounds like a lot, but really only 10 people altogether). Past years have just been a little hectic for my liking. Well I better go feed my child before she drops the eggs that she is trying to take out of the fridge by herwelf as she says!

The Beginning

I look at other people's blogs, but never thought to start my own. I've always just thought, "oh I don't have anything interesting going on in my life and oh nobody would ever look at it" but I thought what the heck I'll give it a shot and see how it goes! So please be patient and kind.

Here's a picture of A and her Uncle J.
